WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING SINCE COVID?
We are dark! As is the rest of the world, we have been severely impacted by COVID 19. Our 75th season was off to an extraordinary start with sell-out houses for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and “Murder on the Orient Express.” A week prior to opening “Godspell” we closed the theatre out of care for our volunteers and patrons. However, we remain active behind the scenes! We’ve taken advantage of being dark to install a fire suppression (sprinkler) system throughout the building. Being able to meet this need was only made possible by grants from local foundations, generous donations from businesses and you, our faithful patrons. We’ve been working to creatively reach out to our community through social media and our website. “Throwback Thursdays” is a nostalgia trip with pictures from earlier plays. “Behind the Curtain” features interviews about what happens throughout the theatre, discussions with volunteers & board members who are actors, directors, stage managers, and producers and so many other parts of the teams that create a show . “Outside Readers’ Theatre” offers short plays using old time radio scripts on the lawn behind the theatre (seating limited). We’re trying our best to keep in touch and are looking forward to when we can welcome you back into the Theatre!
